We lost our beloved Hou about 2 months ago, and it’s still fresh. I look for him on a regular basis, and it seems impossible that he’s no longer with us.
It feels like he still might be right around the corner.
He was sweetness, he was sunshine, he was beauty, he was joy….and I’ve posted on his goodness many times before.
and adored getting snuggles and pets.
Genghis has had a hard time adjusting to the loss of his bro, which is totally understandable. There were attached at the paw much of the time.
and it’s hard for him to lose his best furry friend.
Houdini’s sweetness inspired me and filled my heart.
I miss him. I’m eternally grateful for the beauty and joy he brought to my life.
and BTW, June is National adopt a cat month. Best choice we ever made! Just sayin’
(((Hugs))) I’ve been wondering how you’ve been doing. It is such a hard loss. The picture of him in the window shows so much. We still look for Mitten too. I still think he’ll be just around the corner some days….
Such a sweet tribute. I love all these photos, Cheryl. I think the silhouette with his tail sticking out is my favorite. The loss of Houdini is a very hard loss and one you’ll always feel. I know these photos and your many, many memories will provide a lot of comfort though.
You have my sympathy. It’s so difficult to lose a beloved furry friend. Thanks for sharing those lovely pictures. I still cherish the memories of my special Schnauzer.
Oh, I’m hoping it gets better, Carrie, but every stray noise I hear I imagine is Hou.
Thanks so much, Shirley. I’m so glad E got that picture, the windowsill was one of his happy spots.
Thanks so much, Jeanne. There’s nothing quite like the bond with a furry friend!
