You can always use corn starch instead of arrowroot. I would assume tapioca or another starch would work, too.

I'm not so sure about the carrot baby food because you'd lose the carrot texture. If you do try it, please tell me how it works for you!

Hi Kim,

Sorry to hear it! That's why I love Salba so much, nothing seems to work as well. It's quite healthy, too.

Hey Cheryl,
Tried these with 2 tbs. flax in pineapple juice. Sadly, they fell all to pieces. I am going to try them again and follow the recipe exactly. The taste was good, just not the texture:) Live & learn:) Thanks!

What can you have? My first choice would be sorghum/teff blend. You could probably use fine almond meal, or even a all purpose flour. Let me know how it goes!

My best guess is that you could either use about 2 tablespoons of ground flax seed in boiling pineapple juice (let it sit for a bit), or you could probably add 2 eggs, take out the pineapple juice and add in maybe 1/4 cup sugar. Let me know how it goes!

Hi Cheryl,
I was wondering if I could make these without the Salba seeds. I don't have any and wanted to try them with something else. What do you think?
